The Isle of Bute is the perfect place for a cycling mini-adventure. One of the best ways to see Bute is to cycle the 23-mile loop that takes you right around the island.The island has several beaches, ideal for walks, a swim or in the case of beautiful Scalpsie Bay, seal watching too. The quiet rural roads make it ideal for cyclists, with routes along the coast or inland through the countryside. Bring your own bikes or hire them from town, electric bikes are also available. Cycle out to explore the many bays or visit the magnificent Mount Stuart House, truly one of Scotland's finest stately homes. The town of Rothesay is about 4 miles from Seaview Cottage Straad, so it is a comfortable cycle there and back - why not stop off at the Ettrick Bay Tearoom or Helmi's Patisserie for some energy reviving baked treats. 

The local Co-op supermarket offers an online shopping and delivery service, so you have the option to have your groceries delievered or cycle in and stock up yourself. 

Seaview Cottage Straad has private off street parking for up to two cars, and an electric vehicle charger is available. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for dogs.
