With several beaches around it's coastline, sandy, shingle and some with lots of interesting rockpools for little ones to explore, the island is sure to have something for everyone. Scalpsie Bay in particular is worth a visit as not only is it one of the islands most beautiful beaches, it is also home to a large colony of grey seals. There are a number of outdoor activities available too, bike/e-bike hire, pony trekking, paddle board hire and the opportunity to go walking with some adorable alpacas. 

The town of Rothesay has 3 supermarkets and a variety of shops, a museum, a good old fashioned putting green and it's own castle right in the centre, and for those rainy days there's always the public swimming pool. A trip to Bute would not be complete without a visit to the magnificent Mount Stuart House, it has large grounds to explore and the house itself is trully stunning. 

Located in the Straad on the west coast of the island, Seaview Cottage sits only a few minutes walk from the beach at St. Ninian's Bay, so it is ideal for families who want to enjoy a traditional holiday by the sea. Recently renovated, this five star rated 3 bedroomed property sleeps up to 6 people and is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Sitting in St. Ninian's Bayt it's just a short walk for a swim or a a picnic and there's lots of space to just have fun.

The property is well suited for days spent outdoors with a boot room for removing those dirty boots, a pulley for drying off damp jackets and a cosy log burner for relaxing in front of after a day out on the beach. The garden is enclosed, if you have adventurous little ones it might be worth noting that there is a small burn on the other side of the fence on one side of the garden. The large lawn provides plenty of space for play, and there are also some outdoor games provided, such as boules and croquet. Bring your bicycles and discover the island at your own pace.

Seaview Cottage Straad has private off street parking for up to two cars, and an electric vehicle charger is available. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for dogs.
