Golfing Holiday Accommodation on the Isle of Bute Scotland

Boasting some of Scotland's most scenic golf courses, Bute is well worth a visit for golfers and non golfers alike. The island has three beautiful golf courses, and each is very different.

The main golf course is Rothesay Golf Club, and it is the island's only 18 hole course. It is also one of Scotland's most scenic island courses with beautiful views over the Clyde, to the north and to the south.

Set in the seaside village of Port Bannatyne is a quirky 13 hole golf course. Golfers play the first 12 holes and then repeat the first 5 holes with a separate 18th hole to finish with. There is no full time steward, so golf is played using an honesty box. 

Heading out towards Kingarth you will find a smaller, but no less challenging course, Bute Golf Course. Set next to the beach at Stravannan Bay on Bute's west coast, this nine-hole golf course provides a delightful location in a rural setting with the dramatic backdrop of the Arran Mountains.

Located in the Straad on the west coast of the island, Seaview Cottage sits only a few minutes walk from the beach at St. Ninian's Bay, and just a short car journey to each of the three golf courses. Recently renovated, the 3 bedroomed property sleeps up to 6 people and is fully equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. 

The property is well suited for days spent outdoors with a boot room for removing any muddy shoes, a pulley for drying off damp jackets and a cosy log burner for relaxing in front of after a day out on the course. 

Seaview Cottage Straad has private off street parking for up to two cars, and an electric vehicle charger is available. The fully enclosed garden is ideal for dogs.
